Is EVLA safe?

Our 5-year experience suggests that EVLA is a safe and effective alternative to conventional surgery for the treatment of varicose veins. Bilateral procedures were well tolerated by patients even under local anaesthesia.

What can I expect after EVLA?

The varicose veins should be significantly smaller. Do not be discouraged by persisting veins, as these will continue to shrink over the next 8 weeks.

Following EVLA treatment, we advise that you do not drive yourself anywhere until the following day. This is due to the local anaesthesia used to numb your skin during the procedure. Driving on the following day is perfectly fine, of course.
