What is BlueNRG?

What is BlueNRG?

The BlueNRG-MS is a very low power Bluetooth low energy (BLE) single-mode network processor, compliant with Bluetooth specification v4. The Bluetooth Low Energy stack runs on the embedded ARM Cortex-M0 core. The stack is stored on the on-chip non-volatile Flash memory and can be easily upgraded via SPI.

How is BLE throughput measured?

There are primarily 3 factors that determine maximum throughput with BLE:

  1. operation type,
  2. connection interval, and.
  3. number of packets transmitted per connection event.

What is MTU size in BLE?

The ATT Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is the maximum length of an ATT packet. Per the Bluetooth Core Specification, the maximum length of an attribute can be 512 bytes. In reality, it can be slightly larger than this to accommodate the ATT header. On Android, the maximum MTU can be 517 bytes.

What is the minimum data rate of BLE?

The BLE radio data rate specification, defined in Section 2.1. 1, is set to 1 Mbps.

What is BLE throughput?

That is the modulation frequency used to transfer a given BLE packet. Assuming this to be the maximum throughput is simply ignoring the communication protocol completely. There are many elements that affect/limit BLE’s throughput such as: – Maximum packet length. – Time delays in between packets.

What is Bluetooth throughput?

Bluetooth v3. 0 + HS provides theoretical data transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbit/s, though not over the Bluetooth link itself. Instead, the Bluetooth link is used for negotiation and establishment, and the high data rate traffic is carried over a colocated 802.11 link.

What is L2CAP COC?

L2CAP permits higher-level protocols and applications to transmit and receive upper layer data packets (L2CAP service data units, SDU) up to 64KB long. …

How is Bluetooth throughput calculated?

Steps:

  1. Determine the PHY being used and note down the rate of raw data transfer.
  2. Determine the time it takes to send one data packet and the empty packet from the receiver.
  3. Figure out how many packets can be transmitted during one connection interval.

What is the max range of Bluetooth?

approximately 30 feet
The range of the Bluetooth® connection is approximately 30 feet (10 meters). However, maximum communication range will vary depending on obstacles (person, metal, wall, etc.) or electromagnetic environment. NOTE: Not all audio devices are supplied with Bluetooth capability.
